Training school 2, “Optical foundations of Full Parallax Imaging”, will take place at University of Valencia from the 12th to the 15th of September 2016.

It is a 4-day training school, and every day the course is structured as follows:

  • Morning sessions (3.5 hrs) in the classroom with blackboard lessons and also exercises (open also to external participants)
  • Afternoon sessions (3.0 hrs) in the laboratory. In these sessions students perform simple experiments related to the theory explained in the morning session (limited number of places).

The expected instructors of the training school are:

  • Manuel Martinez-Corral, Full Professor of Optics, University of Valencia.
  • Genaro Saavedra Full Professor of Optics, University of Valencia.
  • Juan C. Barreiro, Associate Professor of Optics, University of Valencia.
  • Emilio Sanchez, Post-doctoral Researcher, Imperial College London.
  • Jim Swoger, Senior Researcher, Center for Genomic Regulation, Barcelona.
  • Adrián Dorado, Pre-doctoral researcher, University of Valencia.

In the lunch break (12:30 to 14:15) students and instructors will share table at the canteen of the campus, where Mediterranean food is served. Lunch is free of charge for ESRs and teachers. Other attendants should confirm attendance every morning and pay about 12 €.
