Meet our Early Stage Researchers: Aron Cserkaszky from Holografika

Tell sometharon_cserkaszkying about yourself?

Hey, my name is Aron. I am computational physicist from Hungary, but spent most of the last 5 years in Germany and I moved back home for this project. As for hobbies I really love traveling (40 countries, 90 airports, 35 airlines). If you need a cheap ticket for a weird holiday plan or an airline messed up your itinerary, I am the guy, just ask :). Otherwise I also enjoy cooking for others, so I guess ESRs having secondments here will get to know me better on my dinner parties.

Why did you apply to ETN-FPI project

I have already been in an other Marie Curie network so I know how valuable this opportunity is, and I didn’t want to go into to pure industry just yet. Freedom is the best currency.

What kind of expectations do you have for your research project and network training?

I hope we can show the world that the lightfield technology is ready for commercial use and with our valuable research we can bring it successfully to the market. And I also want to travel of course to interesting conferences.

Aron Cserkaszky will be based in Holografika 2016-2019, and his research project “GPU assisted lightfield data processing” is linked to Work package 2.
