Contrary to the common 2D images, the plenoptic ones carry enormous angular information. These angular information are highly beneficial to reconstruct the 3D scene.
Illegal duplicating and tampering digital images remains a main concern of the authors who are the victim of piracy. Despite the previous research activities conducted in the realm of 2D image watermarking, the watermarking techniques seldom address plenoptic images. Here in 3DDI, we work on plenoptic image watermarking. You may view our publications about plenoptic image watermarking as well as a broad range of other topics concerning 3D imaging and displays.
